## Transcript

Before it helped lead to Richard Nixon's resignation some 40 years ago, it was just an anonymous parking garage. But now it's known as the site where the infamous Watergate secrets were exchanged. Can you tell me what you know? You tell me what you know. But soon, the site of one of America's most significant journalism and political events will be torned down. The Arlington County Board has now voted to demolish the garage. And replace it with a 28 story residential tower and 24 story commercial building. Washington Post reporter Baum Woodward met with the mysterious informant Deep Throat six times at spot 32D in a parking lot in Arlington county, Virginia.

Deep Throat, of course came out to Vanity Fair in 2005 as former FBI associate director Mark Feld. Who at the time, said he picked the garage as his meeting place with Woodward because it offered a dark venue with a clear view of potential intruders. The project has been in the works for some time, but it wasn't until Saturday the decision was officially made. But history buffs have some time to say their goodbyes.
