[ MUSIC ] Most teens dream of driving. Most parents' nightmare is having their teens drive and get hurt. BMW is here to bridge the gap between dreams and nightmares, with its Teen Driving School. [ MUSIC ] The goals of the two- day intensive course, safety, fun, Excitement and education. I'm very nervous. Car number one. Instructors started with some basics, adjust your mirrors. You don't need to see the side of your car to know it's there. 80 % of US drivers mis- set their side mirrors, and cause overlapping fields of vision. I wanna hear tires squealing. I wanna see tires smoke, all right? After the classroom, the fun, and occasionally intimidating stuff, Kicked in.

Everybody stay on my tracks. Like learning about over steer and under steer on a wet skid path. Each team had the chance to go out with an instructor, get up to speed and learn where to look and how to counter steer when the teacher pulled the emergency brake over and over, and over. BMW also put the teams through exercises such as lane changes, double lane changes, and ABS braking. In all at increasing speeds. Great run first time around. Add 2 miles an hour okay? Take off. The two day costs $ 1300. The price of a computer, and perhaps a small price to pay for a better, safer teen driver. I'm getting more confident in, in what he can do.

So this is really good for me, and him. The best news? BMW runs adult driving courses concurrently, so you don't have to just watch, or worse, have your teen become I'm a better driver ever than you are. [ MUSIC ]
