## Transcript

It seems Lincoln Motor Company and it's parent company Ford may have something more going on than just awkward Mathew McConaughey commercials. That's a big bull. Monday Lincoln Motor Company unveiled a new concept car for a classic vehicle. The Lincoln Continental. Soon to be on display at the New York Auto Show the concept car from Ford is every bit as luxurious as your granddad remembers. The Lincoln Continental slated for release sometime next year will replace the Lincoln MKS. According to Ford CEO Mark Fields will elevate the Lincoln brand back into top tier luxury car company. I think we've done a good job elevating the Ford brand over the last 6 7 years.

So when our customers are ready, if and when they're ready for, to purchase a luxury car, we wanna be there for them. Fields also says while luxury cars only make up ten to 13 % of the auto market, they make up a third of the auto industry's profits. A rakish roof slant, uncharacteristic continental thin- roof pillar. [ MUSIC ] Ford retired the Continental model in 2002 after nine generations of luxury vehicles. First developed as Edsel Ford's personal car. The Lincoln Continental, with its suicide doors and signature long hood, has been the vehicle of choice for everyone from Elvis to President Nixon.

The vehicle is perhaps most famous for being the car President Kennedy was riding in when he was fatally shot in 1963. Sales from Lincoln in the US have been up about 1. 2 % for the first two months of 2015, and in China, where Lincoln recently built 11 dealerships, the Ford brand is doing even better. Field says while he is hopeful the new Continental will be well received in the US, he says Ford is expecting big results from China, the main market for premium sedans.
