## Transcript

Foreign minister Wong and I had an extensive exchange on North Korea and foreign minister Wong affirmed again China's long standing policy of a denuclearized Korean peninsula. We also exchanged views and I think we share a common view and a sense The tensions on the Peninsula are quite high right now and that things have reached a rather dangerous level. And we've committed ourselves to do everything we can to prevent any type of conflict from breaking out. We noted that efforts made over the last 20 years. Have so far not succeeded in curbing the threat posed by North Korea's illegal weapons programs.

We renewed our determination to work together to convince the North Korean government to chose a better path and a different future for its people.
