## Transcript

We looked at the best places to go in the world for value. Many travel guides tell you the best places to go because they're amazing. Many people tell you the best places to go because they're really cheap. We tried to find the places where your money would go the furthest. San Diego is the number one Pick on our list. We know it has great beaches and great weather, but what you don't know is that they've got a huge number of restaurants all over town, and even Little Italy is burgeoning, hotels there are fairly affordable, Affordable, and this year is the 100th anniversary of the San Diego Zoo.

Most people don't think of New York as a value- friendly travel destination, but the funny thing is, this year it was the only place on our list where both hotel prices and average airfares have fallen. Memphis. Barbecue central. Who doesn't love some barbecue, which is always good and always cheap. You can eat very well in Memphis for less, And then enjoy the music after the Fort Lauderdale has everything that Miami has at least in the beach side of things for a fraction of the cost of airfare to Fort Lauderdale I'll actually fall in three years in a row so you can get theirs into the warm weather much cheaper than you can get the other places nearby So the biggest jackpot you can actually hit going to Vegas are the hotels.

We found out a place at the Bellagio with their great fountains out front for $ 189 a night. You can't find that kind of value in other cities. Austin, weird capital of America, also live music capital of America and a really wonderfully vergening foodie destination. Santa Fe They have more galleries there than just about any city outside of New York. And you can spend all day long going from gallery to gallery and paying nothing. If you're lucky, you might even find a free wine tasting along the way. Our top international destination is Prague in the Czech Republic. It's a beautiful city full of rivers and churches just like you expect in some of those other old world european capitals.

But because it doesn't draw the crowds of a Paris or a London or a Rome, there's a lot less competition for your tourist dollar. Marrakesh is one of the safest cities in Africa and also one of the most beautiful. Hotel prices are down well over 10 % year over year. It's just a great place to soak up a completely different culture and not break your budget. People don't think about Taipei, but it's every bit the Asian wonderland that those other great city's are. It's much cleaner, it's got cleaner air quality than Chicago You can obviously get a great chinese meal any day of the week for a relatively good price.

It's sort of an undiscovered gem and totally worth looking into. [ MUSIC ]
