Or as you may know him, The Wolf of Wall Street, has a new job. The man the movie is based on is going into the TV business. Rush Hour director, Brett Ratner and James Packer, an Australian billionaire. The plan is to make this This is the greatest company in the world! into a TV show. In what outlets are describing as a Mad Men style program, Belfort aims to bring the excesses of Wall Street in the 1980s to the small screen. Belfort told the Australian, the idea was to come up with a show about that period with really interesting characters, and so my manager pitch the idea to Brett Ratner. Who fell in love with it. If the movie is any indication, Belfort's show will be a huge success. The Wolf or Wall Street has become Martin Scorsese's highest grossing film ever, raking in more than $ 390 million worldwide. It also earned Leonardo DiCaprio an Oscar odd. The story and all its extravagance is mostly true. Belford was convicted of defrauding hundreds of investors with a pump and dump scheme and went to jail for 22 months in 2003.
