It's a wonderful time because our sport is a wonderful sport. It's the oldest sport in the world. It has extraordinary values. Historically It has crashed through political boundaries, cultural boundaries, social boundaries, geographical boundaries. Why would I not want to do the job? Crash is an interesting word to use, perhaps, at the moment. Have you changed how you think about athletics? How you think about the job? Given everything that has happened over the last few weeks. Fundamentally no, our sport is a good sport. Every now and again a few people in whatever walk of life you look at, choose to step beyond the moral boundaries. That then becomes the responsibility of a federation or whatever organization it is to make sure that You get rid of those people and you create the right corporate government. You create the right culture where integrity is allowed to flourish. That has to run from a president right the way down through to the grassroots athletics clubs. In June you released your hundred day plan for the I double A F. [ BLANK_AUDIO ] Have you in any way reassessed that or changed the emphasis of that, given the recent events? Does it need tweaking? No, and nor should we. We've talked a lot about doping. Our sport is About a great deal more than doping. But a lot of your manifesto is about selling athletics. Yes it absolutely is, and you're quite right. We cannot deliver the sport in the next 30 years in the way that we've been delivering it in the previous 30 years. It's simply become too big. To global, you cannot have a one size fits all. We have to get more resourcing into the Federations, particularly the poorer Federations that are really not able to deliver the sport that I know that they want to do, so we have to close the gap between the haves and have nots, and that will be. probably the single biggest priority I have as a president. Given everything you've achieved in your career, where would becoming the IADF President rank? Oh, it would be the greatest accolade for me.
