[ MUSIC ] This is the most exciting time to be leading time. We've never had a bigger audience in our entire history. We reach 50 million people around the world. 18 million in print, 30 million online, a 11 million through social. We're one of the largest news brands on Twitter. We have the largest news following on Google Plus. We have never had as many tools as we have now to do what we've always done best. Which is tell great stories, do important journalism. And because we have the audience and the authority that we have. We get the access to the news, that most news organizations couldn't hope to have.

[ MUSIC ] The cover of Time Magazine is still the most valuable real estate in journalism. We can stop people, and change their conversation. Whether it's about drone warfare, or how long women should be breast feeding. This year, we've published a dissection of hospital costs, that changed the regulations coming out of Washington. And it's partly because we're shaping a conversation, not just about what's in the headlines, but about what should be in the headlines, or will be in weeks to come. [ MUSIC ] The Time 100 is one of our most exciting events of the year. We get to bring together the most influential people.

Not just in politics or in business, but in the arts, in education, in philanthropy. And so you have Chris Christie and Jimmy Fallon and Michelle Obama all in one room. And you never know who it is you most wants to meet someone else in that group. [ MUSIC ] We really came to understand what we could do. When we marked the tenth anniversary of 9 / 11 with a massive interactive oral history. Which won an Emmy award, became a documentary film, a gallery exhibit, a book. We launched Red Border Films in August, with an interactive project called" One Dream ". Marking the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's ," I Have a Dream" speech.

Red Border Films won't just be the film. They will live along side, interactive features, photo galleries, interviews with the director, to bring those films even more to life. [ MUSIC ] I've worked at Time for a long time, I've gotten to work with extraordinary journalists. I've loved the stories we've gotten to do together, the places we've gone. But actually the thing I'm most excited about right now, is this new generation of journalists that we've been hiring. Whose excitement more than matches mine. Whose energy is boundless, and whose belief in our future and that they're gonna help us make it.

Is so exciting to all of us, who've cared about this place for so long. And are watching them help us make it even stronger. [ MUSIC ]
