## Transcript

>> What's wrong with Shia LaBeouf? That's the question many are asking after the actor showed up to a premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival wearing a paper bag on his head. Written on the bag, " I am not famous anymore ." That's the line he's been tweeting out daily since mid January. The bizarre red carpet appearance followed a very odd press conference earlier in the day. LaBeouf showed up looking disheveled and missing a tooth. The 27- year- old actor reportedly had the tooth shaved down for a movie role. LaBeouf was in Berlin to promote a different movie though, Nymphomaniac Volume 1.

As the title suggests, there's a lot of sexual content in the film and a reporter at the press conference wanted to know how LaBeouf felt about it. Here is his response.

>> When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea. Thank you very much.

>> Yet, LaBeouf walked out and left co- stars Uma Thurman and Christian Slater in shock. And where did that weird 'sardines' comment come from? The Hollywood Reporter notes it's a quote from French soccer legend Eric Cantona. Cantona uttered it at a press conference back in 1995 after being sentenced to 120 hours of community service. LaBeouf even replicated his delivery.

>> It is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.

>> PEOPLE notes LaBeouf's behavior in Berlin caps off a month of odd behavior for the star. He reportedly lunged at a group of band attempting to take his picture at the festival. And a few weeks back, he was involved in a London pub fight. TMZ caught video of the actor yelling at and then head butting another patron. That, of course, came after LaBeouf was publicly outed for plagiarism. He released an amateur short film that was completely lifted from a Daniel Clowes' comic without credit. After he was called out for the plagiarism, LaBeouf began tweeting out apologies, apologies he stole from other celebrities who were at one time or another forced to publicly apologize for a scandal.

He capped off those responses with one final tweet on January 10th that he was retiring from public life, which obviously, he has not. Thanks for watching. I'm Brice Sander.
