## Transcript

I was born in 1993 in Long Beach, California. And I don't remember any of it because I was a baby. But I'm pretty sure it was nice. [ SOUND ] Well, a lot of people have to understand is the 90s was a very successful time just as far as the economy goes. There was a lot of money being made Make, we have saxophone Bill [ MUSIC ], we have the tech boom a new way to use your computer, I know Pokemon came out in 2000 so if we could just push it up one year I would have a lot to tell you right now. I have never heard of nsync in my life, I have never heard of Backstreet Boys in my life. [ MUSIC ] I never heard of the Spice Girls album in my life [ MUSIC ] I don't really give it a lot of credit.

I don't know why. Biggie and Tupac those are the staples are the 90's, that is why they get the Golden Era credit. There is not a 50 cent in the 90's. [ MUSIC ] I didn't even have a Kanye. [ MUSIC ] Jay Z's big as [ UNKNOWN ]. His only number one happened a couple a years ago. [ MUSIC ] Early 2000's is where it's at. The first song i remember listening to is Lii Bow Wow Bounce With Me. [ MUSIC ] Lil Bow Wow was one of my favorites. [ UNKNOWN ]. You could never take that from me. You'll find someone who hates Jay Z. Loves Lil Bowzi. You could love Lupe Fiasco, hate Gucci Mane. Find somebody else with the same IQ who feels opposite because it's more relative to their lifestyle.

[ MUSIC ] If something has never been done before, then there is no replacement for it. When there is a replacement for something, it will always go away. There's no replacement for Rollingstones. There's no replacement for Aerosmith. There's no replacement for any of those people. Unfortunately hip hop we have a habit of copying each other. We pretend to be something that we're not. I never had to pretend I was only listening to hip hop. That's not, I mean, I'm from. I love to be from a place that's diverse enough to the point that we don't have all black friends, or all white friends, or all asian friends, or anything you know?

Everybody is kind of just mixed up in the pile. [ MUSIC ] As far as hip hop being from the streets, I think it is a very elitist way to think about things, because put it like this. You can say my music is real, but what if I'm lying? What if I made all this up? Then what? If I made all this up, it's not real. Someone saying they wanna go to a party is real. They probably just wanna have a good time. It's really them, what's real, real meaning Urban and aggressive, is that what we mean by real? Your life is your life. No matter what it is, I think that should be what your music is about. Your outlook on life.
