Amy Purdy's got dancing feet, literally. The 34 year old para Olympian who became a double amputee at 19 years old has had to improvise when it comes to what prosthetics she wears on Dancing With the Stars. I actually went with the swimming foot that isn't even made for dancing, it's made for swimming so you can put a flipper on. But, we found that I could stand up on 'em, balance on 'em, and, and get the lines that we wanted. Purdy told People more about her very special legs. I originally got these just thinking they were a little bit prettier and I could wear a taller heel and maybe for a tango.

It freed my hips up so that I could move how I wanted to. Purdy says the biggest challenge with the prosthetics is that every step she makes has to be precise. She can't misstep and catch herself like her competitors. But she doesn't want anyone to think that's holding her back. And instead of looking at my legs like, like, they're hindering me from doing something. They may be more of like an accessory or something that could help us accomplish something. And the legs definitely aren't a hindrance. Purdy regularly lands at the top of Season 18's leader board. Who do you think's gonna win it? Amy.
