## Transcript

What can today's athlete learn from the life that Muhammad Ali led? Well, I think today's athlete can learn that your principles really are what goes out into the world and defines you. And if you live up to your principles, and have a Some integrity with regard to living your life according to your principles. You'll be appreciated and you'll be respected. And I think that's a very important lesson. A lot of people don't get that and they pay a price for it. Yeah, very well said. Publicly, Kareem, you and Ali seem like you could be more polar opposites. Ali never met a camera, a crowd that he didn't love and play to.

You seem more reserved in your life, but in some ways how were guys similar? Or what did you think when you saw Ali out there mingling with anyone and everyone who would come around him? Well, I thought that that was his stick, you know. That was what he was all about. His personality was such that he had to go out there and engage the public in the way that he did and he was an amazing guy. I just... I remember I was in high school and college, and he would go to the training camps of some of his opponents and harass them while they were trying to train. And they'd be enraged and they'd being trying to chase him down and punch him out, and he was promoting a fight.

He was a master of self promotion. And made the other boxers become involved even when they didn't want to, even when they wanted to beat his brains out, which is something they couldn't do. He was a A master of the world that he lived in. And we all respected and admired him for that. [ BLANK_AUDIO ]
