## Transcript

Today we're going to talk about Ipad tricks. Some of these you may know. Some of these may seem like magic! Why is it, he said thrust your arms out and the fire comes. It's hooked up the, I got the two. I've never done a trick. We rented it. It was expensive. I, I guess, let's move on and we'll see if I can get my money back. Cash, I guess, somehow. Whoa! Whoa! Oh, God, no! Oh, my God! My eyebrows! No, it's bad! It's wor, my face is my lively hood! This is not good! Pop, pa, pop, pop, pa, papa peas. Try not to pop the peas. Mr. Popper's Penguin. [ MUSIC ] Yep. I'm ready. Is there a reason we do the voice over stuff first before we shoot anything else?

It just seems, seems kinda out of order. I mean what am I gonna get so injured filming the other stuff that I won't be able to do the voice overs afterwards? Kinda seems silly. No? I trust you. All right, let's go. Here we go. [ MUSIC ] Okay, we'll start out with an easy one, the quick scroll. If you're at the bottom of a web page and you want to scroll back up to the top, what are you going to scroll with your hands like it's some sort of barbarian? Nope, just tap up where the clock is and boom, quick scroll up to the top. Works in most apps too. Let's say I want to get more organized on my home screen.

I'm going to tap on this game and hold it until everything starts jiggling and I am going to drag it on top of another game and boom a folder called games has been made and I can drag other games in there. And rename the folder to something like games and more. [ MUSIC ] You can use whatever you want. You were right about recording the voice- over first. I understand now, I'm sorry I doubted you. It was a good idea. Double tap the home button, tap tap, and you'll see a list of all the recent apps you've had opened, And scrolling to the right will show you all the apps before that. While scrolling to the left, you can tweak brightness, you can control songs in iTunes and adjust the volume.

Now we'll combine a little of what we've learned to kill a troublesome app. You wanna exit out of the home screen. Double tap, tap tap, on the home button. Hold down on the app that's giving you trouble, and then hit the little minus button. Now when you go back out to the home screen and re- launch the app. Hopefully it'll start working correctly again. Call a, I fireman, magician? Call somebody. No, do, don't, do not call my wife. She, I don't want her to worry. And we'll look at multi- finger gestures. These are cool. You're gonna put your entire hand on the screen and pull up. That's the same effect as double tapping the home button.

When you're in apps You can swipe from left and right to go in between the halves you have previously opened and if you're in an app, you want to close out to the home screen just whoop, like a crumple motion. These need to be turned on under settings, under general and then multitasking gestures. And, now for some keyboard tricks. Double tapping this arrow here is the same as caps lock, which will result in yelling while you're typing. You have secret hidden keys if you hold down certain keys in the keyboard. You'll, get, variance you could use so it's not every key but tap, tap around. Make something you like something [ INAUDIBLE ].

Double tap the keyboard at the end of a sentence to add a period and then a space slow mode. Double tap. Period. Space. And, finally, holding down the dot com key while you're entering a web address will give you a Nations. net . orgs, stuff like that. Don't give any of my stuff away. I wanna take it with me. Burn it, throw it on me right now. Keyboard shortcuts for commonly used phrases are handy too. They can be setup in the options under general, keyboard, add new shortcut. Add a phrase like, why the face? And that will go to wtf. So when you're chatting with your friend, you can say. WTF. OMW.

Why the face? I'm on my way. And last but not least kind of a geeky one. Taking a screen capture of whatever is on your screen. Press the home button and the power button at the same time. Taking a picture, home button power button cheese. It will capture whatever is on your screen, and you share that as thought it were a regular Regular photo. It's in your photos app right there. Oh that was a good one I remember that one. All your old screen wraps. This shirt is totally ruined. I'm never gonna wear. I'm gonna have to replace this shirt. It's, no it's there is holes, it's burned and holes all over it.
