[ MUSIC ] For the first time in my life for many, many, many years I actually wake up in the morning excited about the day. Can't wait. I got so many things to do. I have struggled, With identity all my life. It's not that they just like happened last week. I mean, when I was eight years old, I was running into my mom's closet, nobody would know. When I would up back in Malibu, all by myself, with the same problems I had when I was ten years old, I thought what the heck am I going to do with my life? I had a lot of conversations with a lot of wonderful people. My family. With my close friends, with my pastor, with God.

I kinda came to a revelation that maybe for the first time in my life I should be honest with myself about who I am. And let that person, this woman that has lived inside me for my entire life, finally Have an opportunity to live. You are still the same person. It's just that now she gets a chance to live. And it's been a wonderful experience and I wanna make a positive impact on this community and on the world. Open up this conversation. This is not an issue just here in the United States. This is an issue of humanity. This happens all over the world, and it's something that almost nobody understands.

There are so many issues for trans people. We have suicide rates, murder rates. We're at 21 murders already this year that are known hate crimes towards transgender There's a lot of work to be done. I am so excited about the future and hopefully I can have an impact in opening up this conversation. [ MUSIC ]
