The actor has been the bud of some unsavory headlines following his recent arrest for disorderly conduct at a Broadway showing of the musical, Cabaret. And now, his rep gives People an exclusive statement about how he's been recuperating from the public outburst. LaBeouf is voluntarily receiving treatment for alcohol addiction. He understands that these recent actions are a symptom of a larger health problem, and he has taken the first of many necessary steps towards recovery. Fox News reports the Transformers star was seen chasing down a homeless man before the Cabaret performance.

And witnesses say he was smoking, smacking Allen Cumming's ****, and yelling during Michelle William's performance. It was that bizarre behavior that got the actor escorted out by police at the show's intermission. Which gave way to yet another blowup as Labeouf became agitated and asked officers, do you know who the f I am? This is far from the actor's first display of erratic behavior. Back in February, he showed up to the Berlin premiere of his film Nymphomaniac dressed to the nines at least from the neck down. His face, however, was covered by a brown bag with the words I'm not famous anymore written in black marker.
