In a move seeming to draw a lot of reactions along the lines of, you mean that didn't already happen. Toronto Mayor Rob Ford will seek substance abuse treatment. This just minutes before new video surfaced of the man with a very distinctive nickname. The crack smoking mayor Rob Ford back on crack again? A new video surfacing reportedly showing him smoking crack in his sister's basement. Ford released a statement last night, admitting he has a problem with alcohol. And saying he's taking a leave from his reelection campaign and from his duties as mayor to seek help. The decision comes just as two Globe and Mail reporters say they watched the video from a self- professed drug dealer.

Trying to sell it for at least six figures. The Globe and Mail noted that while the dealer said Ford was smoking crack early Saturday morning, it could not verify what was in the pipe. The reporters said they observed Ford rapidly shifting his weight back and forth and shaking one of his hands frantically after exhaling smoke. Ford's criminal attorney questioned the videos authenticity. Saying if these guys are drug dealers and there's money involved, they can say whatever they want to get more money. But it's not the only new, embarrassing news about Ford, who had been running a re- election campaign until these latest developments.

The Toronto Sun reports a patron at this bar covertly taped an audio recording Monday night. While the patron's seem to egg Ford on, the Mayor does use offensive language, talking about one of his mayoral contenders Karen Stintz. How about Karen Stintz? I'd like to **** jam her, but she doesn't want, I can't talk like this. [ LAUGH ]. So, a year of denying he had a drug problem, despite a first bid that surfaced last May. Rants, threatening violence, aggressive outbursts in formal settings. And being mocked in just about every way possible, Ford now says he's seeking help. His mother spoke briefly with CTV.

It's a sad day. It's a bittersweet day, really. So, why is that? Because, you know what? I really don't want to talk about it now. Ford did not say how long he'll stay away from the campaign trail, though he was a close second in polling released just last month. I'm Cliff Judy.
