## Transcript

>> Woody Allen's reps strongly denies the latest claims he sexually abused his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow. Farrow wrote an open letter describing Allen assaulting her in a second floor attic in 1992. The New York Times columnist Nicolas Kristof who noted he is a friend of her mother, Mia Farrow, posted the letter on his blog. She wrote that he got away with what he did to me, haunted me as I grew up. I was stricken with guilt that I had allowed him to be near other little girls. Allen's rep tells people Mr. Allen has read the article and found it untrue and disgraceful. He will be responding very soon.

Allen and actress Mia Farrow adopted Dylan in the 80s, but the couple broke up in 1993 after it was revealed Allen had a sexual relationship with another of Farrow's adopted daughter, Soon- Yi, now Allen's wife. This isn't the first time these allegations came out. Just the first time Dylan Farrow's publically addressed them. Allen was investigated, but never charged for child molestation. The letter also comes only a week after Allen was nominated for an Oscar for his film, Blue Jasmine, and three weeks after receiving a lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes.

>> Dylan Farrow said that Hollywood's continued celebration of Woody Allen had come to feel, as she put it, like a personal rebuke.

>> In the letter posted Saturday, Farrow wrote she now feels lucky and is happily married. Still, she wrote, Woody Allen is a living testament to the way our society fails the survivors of sexual assault and abuse. For TIME, I'm Cliff Judy.
