## Transcript

Approximately 839 this morning, we received information from a family member about an individual at 4:02 Wild Rs Lane, Dixon, Illinois. This individual had threatened not only suicide, but homicide, and it was quickly determined that our emergency response team to be activated. At 9:18, 18 minutes after we arrived, the swat team was activated. Our hostage negotiators arrived on scene, and attempted to make contact. And the first call to his cell phone began at 10:40. And in excess of 50 phone calls were made in various forms to the residents with no answer. At 11:51, due to the lack of communication, it was determined that our emergency response team would enter the house and determine the well being of that individual.

Immediately upon entering the house, our deputies received fire from inside the house. Three deputies were struck by gunfire and transported to local hospitals. The suspect was also struck by gunfire and transported to a local hospital. And I can tell you that everybody is still alive and everybody's in what we consider to be good condition.
