## Transcript

>> So Steve, did you see Senator Joe Lieberman's big catch this week?

>> You must be talking about the internet kill switch.

>> The internet kill switch.

>> Of course.

>> So, you know, last year, Georgia and Russia had this conflict in hackers, now a part of cyber warfare, and Joe Lieberman is really concerned about cyber warfare.

>> Cyber war is going on in some sense right now--

>> As part of this, he wants to create an internet kill switch that lets the president just shut off the internet.

>> I like the notion of Obama running and like, pounding it with his fist.

>> That is right. You've got the red phone- -[ unk ]--

>> You have got the red phone, and then the red switch that just kills the internet.

>> Brilliant. Surprisingly, one of the biggest stories this week involve the Asian carp and the great lakes, which, I know this is a story some might know about, but for many in the Midwest, it's been a fact of life now for quite a while. Asian carp, huge fish that eat 40 percent of their body weight everyday, it's been making its way up to the Mississippi river for decades. And they put up all these electric fences near the Great Lakes. And what they are terrified of is this thing getting into the Great Lakes' system, and they created all these big waterways between Chicago and Lake Michigan, and they put up all these electric fences to keep them out, and now on Wednesday night, they found the very first Asian carp way past these electric fences, only a couple of miles from Lake Michigan, and people are freaking out.

>> And they say they are like cockroaches, you know, if you see one, there is a lot more of them that you aren't seeing. So, you know, Joe Lieberman, take note. Maybe we need a kill switch for the Asian carp.

>> A Great Lake's kill switch.

>> So Steve, are you a-- are you a smoker?

>> Not. No. What was I gonna say? What was I gonna say.

>> Cigarette smokers in New York State got a lot of bad news this week. They are gonna be paying through the nose for a pack of cigarettes.

>> Not sure if you heard, there are budget problems in this country, and smokers will be solving them.

>> Yes, that is right. We are going to tax the hell out of the smokers in order to save our states. New York State actually now has the highest cigarette tax in the country,

>> A lot.

>> like it's close to $ 5 a pack that people are paying. So we took a look on newsfeeds, sort of the biggest taxes around the country.

>> We wanted to know which states tax the most.

>> Lots of places to be encouraging you to quit.

>> Earthquake? In Canada?

>> And not just Canada, it blew us away. You started seeing people searching for earthquake, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, New York City. There is a massive earthquake on Wednesday.

>> I don't always exit with such drama, but--

>> Not massive I guess in terms of magnitude. It was just a 5. 5. But surely in terms of geography, it was felt across, it seems like decent, like a quarter of North America?

>> You know what really was funny to me this week was the Wall Street Journal got their hands on BP's in- house magazine which is called Planet BP. You know, I am wondering, is that logo just sort of brown? Was it just covered in oil?

>> This is not good.

>> Anyway, the PR stories in there surprisingly paint sort of a rosy picture. The oil spill Steve, its helping tourism because shock of shocks, people have to stay in hotels when they are cleaning up the beaches. Why didn't we spill oil before? Thanks Planet BP.
