## Transcript

When we're looking for best places to live, we're looking obviously for financial factors as far as jobs and home prices and affordability. But we're also looking for a diverse population. One of the things that we use actually to rule out places is if they are not diverse. Socially, economically, and racially. We have sixty categories overall that we look at. Economic categories, open space categories, education, all of those things. We look at median home price. We look at. At property taxes. And we look at property taxes compared to medium home price. Because, obviously, you'd expect to pay more in taxes if you were paying more for your house.

Crime, obviously, is something that we pay a lot of attention to, if there's a lot of crime in town we immediately remove it from the list. Culture is important, we want people to feel like they have things to do there. We are not just looking for bedroom communities, we're looking for homes. So we wanna make sure that there's open space, and there's theater, and there's little league, and all of those things that go into making up a place that you would feel is your home. And then we ranked each place in terms of each one of those categories. So there's several stages from the 823 we little it down by weighing and reducing and reducing when we get to the top 50 or so We send reporters out to all of those 50 places.

We want people to, if they're gonna consider uprooting their lives and moving to a new place, to go to these towns and go my God, yes, I could live here. We want the reporters to be able to give people a leg up on that information, too. [ MUSIC ]
