## Transcript

>> The Voice of PGA announcer, Jim Nantz, is the first thing gamers will hear when they start up PGA Tour 12's The Masters.

>> Augusta National. From Magnolia Lane to the Azelus-

>> Then, they can assume the role of Tiger Woods as he steps into the rolling greens of the famous Augusta National Golf Course. I'm Evan Narcisse for Techland. And this week, I got a chance to play around the virtual golf with the real Tiger and to talk to him about the new version of his PGA Tour video game. What's so special about Augusta that makes it an iconic location for like the- more of championship golf, essentially?

>> Well, I think it's just because it's so historic. I mean, Buddy, Charles starting the club, the whole, you know, so many- we have 4 Major Championships. Of the 4, the [ unk ] doesn't rotate.

>> This is a legacy born for the dreams of the sport's greatest champions.

>> As the previous versions of PGA Tour, Game Maker Electronic Arts pays a lot of attention to the details of each course. Even the seasoned pro like Tiger was impressed by our true- to- life recreation of golf's toughest greens.

>> What's amazing is the breaks are the same.

>> Oh, wow.

>> So, that's what is mind- boggling to us as players is to see like wow. Look at that putt that she does. You see the good- how the [ unk ] is. Is it sort of breaking or straightening out the end? Exactly how we face it-

>> All right.

>> That's what the gamers are gonna face.

>> PGA Tour 12 makes great use of motion control video game technology. It's one thing to be good at swinging a virtual club, but Tiger vouches that PGA Tour 12 could also improve your real- life game.

>> On to be moving the part of a- big part of the action, you're standing up and moving around. It does help, actually, when the club kind of swing the control faster because that's when the club's faster.

>> Right.

>> So, that part is become a little bit more athletic in a sense because it's not just, you know, [ unk ].

>> Right.

>> You don't actually have to actually swing it faster and, you know, see these young kids where I am in my neighbourhood and they play it. There's like, seriously, you know, they're so good at it.

>> The kids may be good at it but it turn out, so was I. That gives the seasoned gamer advantage of a golf's great champion. I think a putt for birdie or Tiger shot a double bogey.

>> Yeah, what? Yeah!

>> That wasn't war.

>> Yeah, it is.

>> That was nice. Nicely done.

>> Well, thank you, Tiger.

>> Yeah, thank you. No, it's no problem.

>> No problem. [ unk ]

>> Thank you. You know, that's Tiger saying, you know. I let him go easy. I didn't brag a little bit, but that's TIME Magazine 2, I think. Well, I think I beat you last year and Tiger zero. So, that's how it goes, folks. Thank you.

>> Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 hits stores on March 29th for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii. For Techland and TIME video, I'm Evan Narcisse.
