## Transcript

An Australian man is under arrest after he allegedly caused a hijacking alert on a Virgin Australia flight headed to Bali Friday. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, a Bali Air Force commander says 28 year old Matt Christopher Lockley was drunk when he walked up to the front of the plane and started pounding on the cockpit door. After that, NBC reports the flight's pilot sent a distress signal to officials letting them know there was a possible hijacking attempt in progress. That led Indonesian crews on the ground to interpret the plane might have actually been hijacked. Before Lockley could get inside the cockpit an official said the flight crew stopped him and put him in handcuffs until the plane landed.

An official with Virgin Australia said there was an apparent miscommunication between the pilot and officials on the ground. Either way, the plane and its 139 passengers were able to safely land in Bali about an hour after the distress signal was sent. The Telegraph points out the airport was closed briefly, but flights were back up and running shortly after Lockley's arrest. Thanks for watching, I'm Megan Judy.
