>> Actor Vin Diesel spoke out publically for the first time Monday night at a memorial for his Fast and Furious costar, Paul Walker.

>> The love that you've shown, Paul, it's going to stay with me forever. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for coming down here and showing that angel up in heaven how much you appreciated him.

>> Walker was killed Saturday afternoon when the Porsche GT he was riding in crashed. Surveillance video has surfaced apparently showing the results of the crash. Walker's friend and philanthropic partner, Roger Rodas, was driving and hit a tree. The car exploded, killing both men. Police have ruled out speculation that a second vehicle might have been present or that drag racing was involved. The street around the crash site was cleared by police Monday so that friends and family could pay private tribute to walker, but Diesel spoke on a loud speaker to fans. Diesel was Walker's long- time costar in the Fast and Furious series.

They've been shooting the seventh film, which is now expected to be delayed. Before the memorial, he has spoken out on his Facebook page saying, I will always love you, Brian, as the brother you were on and off screen. Police believe speed was a factor in the crash and are still investigating. For TIME, I'm Megan Murphy.
