And for a while there the date seemed, it was hundreds of days on the horizon and just seemed far far away. And it was just kind of the daily schedule of training. Every day brings us closer and the time starts to accelerate. And you start to have very real thoughts about what it means to climb into a rocket, to launch into orbit and to spend the next five months on the space station. You know I'm really excited about the idea of just learning how to live in space. It's, I feel very fortunate that we are at a time in the U. S. Space Program where we are learning how to just sustain life in space for long periods of time. And preparing for that next step of going into deep space and going into Mars. And so to have this opportunity to be up there, not just for two weeks like we did in the shuttle program or just days as we did in the early space program, but to be up there for several months and really just understand what it means to be apart from the earth. To be in a vehicle that is self, fairly self sustaining. To learn how to do all those things that we do on Earth and take for granted. Eating food, just doing work, reading, relaxing, all of those things, and how space is just a little bit different. And so learning to really adapt to those and just become a part of that experience I think it's really hard when you're in the situation to kind of understand what your role is in history. And I hope that we can look back at this time and say that this You know we were opening the door. We were establishing the path for the long duration presence of humans in space. That we were laying the ground work for the first humans to go to Mars. And so I hope that is the legacy that we leave. I hope we have the vision As a country, and as a world, to leverage what we are doing right now to do greater things. Personally, for me, this is an amazing program to be a part of.
