In 2023, a slew of exciting sporting events further sweetens the city’s appeal. Mexico City hosts history-making baseball games in April when Major League Baseball comes to town for the first time ever as part of the [Mexico City Series](https://www.mlb.com/news/mexico-city-series-2023-features-giants-padres "undefined"), with the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants playing a two-game series at the more than 20,000-seat Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú. In late-August, the [Mexico City Marathon ](https://maraton.cdmx.gob.mx/ "undefined")celebrates its [40th](https://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/mexico-city-marathon-opens-registration-for-2023/ "undefined") year. And Formula One is staging the [Mexican Grand Prix ](https://f1experiences.com/2023-mexican-grand-prix "undefined")at Mexico City’s Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in late October as part of a three-year contract extension for the city through 2025. Hotel-hopping hobbyists have their eyes on several recent big CDMX openings, including [Andaz Mexico City Condesa ](https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/mexico/andaz-mexico-city-condesa/mexaz "undefined")and [Mondrian Mexico City](https://all.accor.com/hotel/C0B7/index.en.shtml "undefined"), both of which debuted around the new year as part of the redesign of a historic complex, Conjuntos Aristos, in tree-lined Condesa. Latin America gets its first Soho House when [Soho House Mexico City](https://www.sohohouse.com/en-us/new-house-openings "undefined") opens in 2023 inside a former private residence in Colonia Juárez. And the city’s Polanco neighborhood stays hot with boutique newcomer [The Alest](https://thealest.com/ "undefined"), the 12-suite [Campos Polanco](https://www.campospolanco.com/ "undefined"), and the equally intimate [Casa Polanco](https://www.casapolanco.com/ "undefined").
