When the [pandemic put millions](https://time.com/5833008/us-unemployment-coronavirus/ "undefined"), including Pickowicz, out of work, the two-time James Beard Award [semi­finalist](https://www.jamesbeard.org/chef/natasha-pickowicz "undefined") found solace in home baking. In the summer of 2020 she launched [Never Ending Taste](https://www.grubstreet.com/2021/05/encounter-natasha-pickowicz.html "undefined")—a pastry pop-up that raises money for nonprofits, including ones combatting [food insecurity](https://time.com/6160147/global-food-security-crisis/ "undefined")—in New York City. In collaboration with other chefs, Pickowicz has raised more than $180,000 through old-school bake sales.
