For Delaney Rowe, being a content creator isn’t far from being an athlete. “Honestly, it’s about stamina for me,” says the actor and comedian, best known for her parodies of female movie archetypes. Since joining TikTok in 2020, she’s amassed 3.1 million [followers](https://www.tiktok.com/@delaneysayshello?lang=en) with her satirical sketches—writing, editing, and starring in each one herself. Her hits include spot-on impersonations of the “female bartender in every movie written by a man,” the “free-spirited, bohemian single mom in every mother/daughter comedy,” and, her first viral trope, the “absolutely insufferable female lead of an indie movie.” 

The 29-year-old spends a lot of time watching movie trailers in search of new material. “I do get very burnt out,” she says, “because what I do is kind of specific. How long can I keep squeezing out a different trope?” And while her videos satirizing Hollywood’s often unrealistic depictions of women are widely viewed as comedy, her goal is less to make people laugh and more to capture the absurdity in a truthful way. “I really think of myself as someone aiming for accuracy more than hilarity,” she says. “I just try to keep it in that realm, and then hope that within the accuracy people find entertainment.”

Beyond her social videos, her work these days includes finishing her first book of comedic essays—and dreaming up a “two-hander comedy with Jennifer Lawrence.” One day, she hopes to meet Lindsay Lohan, whose 2004 film _Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen_ inspired her to become an actor. “I’m sure she has no idea who I am,” Rowe says. “But it’s a one-of-a-kind movie. I stand by that.”
