RapidAI aims to fill some of those gaps by speeding up diagnostics. This year, the company received FDA clearance for Lumina 3D, which creates near-immediate 3D imaging from a CTA scan (commonly used to catch clots and aneurysms). David Stoffel, a doctor and the chief business officer of RapidAI, says hospitals using Lumina are able to read scans faster and more quickly catch strokes. “Time is the difference between a person being wheeled out or walking out,” Stoffel says. RapidAI’s technology is in use in hospitals in over 100 countries worldwide.
