Wooden shelves and a low central table display delicate ceramic teacups, bamboo vessels, _warōsoku_ candles, and incense sourced from Japan’s oldest incense maker. Traditional _tsuchikabe_ walls showcase hand-twisted _warazaiku_ (straw crafts), while pendant lights from Kyoto-based sculptor Ren Nakane lend the space a soft warmth. Founded by childhood friends Hana Tsukamoto and Irene Chang, Maana Living functions as both shop and entry point. Many of the objects for sale also appear inside [Maana Homes](https://maanahomes.com/ "undefined"), the brand’s collection of renovated _machiya_ townhouses across the city. [Maana Atelier](https://www.instagram.com/maana.atelier/?hl=en "undefined") hosts hands-on workshops in the historic Nishijin district, while immersive multi-day retreats—focused on food, home design, or pottery—let visitors learn techniques from the artisans behind the work.
