Artist Statement

Title: [Ed B] Hit It To The Beat

When I was presented with the opportunity to create an animation for the Beatclub Collection––I wanted to make sure that I created a piece that really showcased the Puppet feeling the music. As a huge fan of Timbaland and bigger fan of his works with artists such as Magoo, Missy and Aaliyah, I’ve seen how his music has moved culture and how it has opened doors for artists like me. One thing I respect is how Timbaland has made sure his music was used to push the narrative of black art forward and I am appreciative of that.
