Kevin Estrada—Prime Video

[Gloria Calderón Kellett](https://time.com/6315421/america-latin-leaders-2023/) made one of the best family sitcoms of the century with _One Day at a Time_, a bighearted reboot of [Norman Lear](https://time.com/6343345/norman-lear-dead-obituary/)’s classic single-parenting comedy that centered on a multigenerational Cuban American clan. When Netflix canceled it after three seasons, fans’ outcry was so loud that Pop TV picked it up for a fourth. Calderón Kellett’s follow-up, the 2021 Prime Video series _With Love_, told an equally warm, broad-minded, family-oriented story, albeit one tailored to a more adult audience. A rom-com that encompasses the love lives of characters of all ages and identities, the series situates its newly single ingénue, Lily Diaz (a charming Emeraude Toubia), at the center of a large, lively Latino brood. As she hunts for her forever man, her brother Jorge (Mark Indelicato) brings home his bisexual boyfriend (Vincent Rodriguez III); their parents (Constance Marie and Benito Martinez) weather a rough patch in a long marriage; and the siblings’ cousin Sol (Isis King), a nonbinary trans oncology resident, has a will-they-or-won’t-they with a hospital colleague (Todd Grinnell). Funny and frank about sexuality in all its varieties, the show also takes seriously the search for a life partner who respects one’s most deeply held values, from faith to commitment, but most of all family. With each episode built around a holiday or celebration, Calderón Kellett (who also lets her freak flag fly in the hilarious recurring role of a wildcard _tía_) captures the festive mood of Hallmark Christmas fare—but with superior writing and acting and a far more inclusive spirit.
