When an X-ray revealed a tumor in Micah’s leg, the prognosis was a 65-70% chance of survival and the possibility of amputation. He was just nine years old. Micah and his family relocated to Memphis for immediate treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “What makes St. Jude unique is that we were able to tailor the treatment specifically for Micah and we try to do that for every one of our patients” explains Richard C. Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. “These kids just want to grow up and realize their dreams like you or I.
