Leading a $20 billion company with more than 350,000 employees, Kumar is at the forefront of enterprise AI adoption. In this discussion, he offers a framework for the future of organizations: one modeled not on the industrial revolution, but on dynamic and flexible approaches such as the Hollywood Model. Fluid teams could, in this model, assemble for specific missions, supported by a stable core of “agentic capital” that preserves knowledge, context and operational continuity. Kumar also argues that AI must reflect the culture and context of the companies that deploy it. Rather than relying on generic models, organizations should embed workflows, values, and tribal knowledge directly into digital labor, making AI a true collaborator inside the enterprise. Looking ahead, Kumar warns that job displacement is a flawed response to technological change, as the nature of work itself will be reshaped.
