They are determined to get back in the fight,” [said](https://x.com/SeanParnellASW/status/2079285283745386955) Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell. The vast majority of injuries experienced were "minor concussions," he added. The injury tally was shared in the aftermath of three U.S. service members being killed in a matter of days following the collapse of the cease-fire. Two [U.S. service members in Jordan](https://x.com/CENTCOM/status/2078530691109974522) were "killed in action as U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and partner forces defended against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks" on Friday. Another U.S. service member was “killed in action” in northern Iraq on Saturday during a “controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian one-way attack drone,” CENTCOM [said](https://x.com/CENTCOM/status/2078920477779890312). The fallen service members have been identified as 1st Lt. Tyler James [Feehan](https://www.war.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/4549661/dow-identifies-army-casualties/), 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Pvt. Isabella [Gonzales](https://www.war.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/4549661/dow-identifies-army-casualties/), 19, of Carrollton, Texas, and Sgt. Michael Emmanuel [Swinton](https://www.war.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/4550900/dow-identifies-an-army-casualty/), 30, of Fayetteville, North Carolina. President Donald Trump has [referred](https://www.facebook.com/reel/1285501720140552/) to the slain troops as “great patriots” and [vowed](https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/116953296612438865) that “every time Iran kills an American soldier, they will pay for that killing many times over.” Since the U.S. and Israel launched its initial strikes against Iran on Feb. 28, some 447 U.S. military personnel have been injured, according to the [Pentagon](https://dcas.dmdc.osd.mil/dcas/app/conflictCasualties/oefu/byCategory)’s count on Monday.
