In a recent episode of the podcast “Can’t Be Censored,” Carlson said “there’s no chance I would support the Republican party” in the November [midterm elections](https://time.com/article/2026/05/05/2026-blue-wave-as-big-as-the-one-in-2006-no-longer-seems-far-fetched/). “Not going to support the Democratic party,” the conservative commentator added. “I don’t know what I’m going to do. But at this point how could you support—how could I or any American voter—support a political party that’s not loyal to the United States? That puts the interest of a foreign country above those of its own citizens?” Carlson, a podcaster who was previously one of Fox News’ most well-known anchors, was a longtime supporter of President Donald Trump. But when the U.S. and Israel [launched](https://time.com/7346357/iran-strikes-news-us-trump-protests/) the military strikes on Iran in February that began the war in the Middle East, Carlson vocally [criticized](https://time.com/article/2026/04/22/trump-tucker-carlson-relationship-breakdown-iran-war-split/) the President and his Administration over the decision. “I’ve voted Republican my entire life,” Carlson said on “Can’t Be Censored.” “I’ve been a consistent defender for 35 years of the Republican party—I mean, very consistent defender. But there’s no defending this because it’s immoral. And it’s exactly the opposite of what a political party in a democracy is charged with doing, which is representing its own voters, its own citizens, its own nation. And they’re not doing that. So no, I’m out. And if I’m out, then I think a lot of other people are out.” On Monday, Greene took to social media to echo Carlson’s remarks. “Tucker is not the only one who is done supporting the Republican Party,” the former Georgia congresswoman said in a [post on X](https://x.com/mtgreenee/status/2069144324370006421). Carlson and Greene are among a number of prominent conservative figures who have objected to Trump’s military actions in Iran.
