This year, TIME editors launch the **TIME100 Companies: Industry Leaders** lists, an expansion of the TIME100 Most Influential Companies issue that dives deeper into 20 sectors to look at the companies shaping their industries. These are the 10 most influential companies in social good of 2026.

### Dr. Bronner’s

_Raising the B Corp bar_

Dr. Bronner's [dropped](https://info.drbronner.com/media-center/press-release/highest-scoring-b-corp-dr-bronners-announces-plans-to-drop-certification-citing-weak-standards-that-enable-greenwashing-and-purpose-washing-by-multinationals/) its B Corp certification last year, arguing that the widely recognized seal used by some [10,000](https://www.bcorporation.net/en-us/certification/resources-and-faqs/) companies had become yet another “greenwashing and purpose-washing” tool for multinational corporations. The family-owned soap brand was one of B Corp's highest-ever scorers—ranking first in the world in 2015 and 2022—so its announcement carried a lot of weight. A few months later, B Lab, the nonprofit behind the certification, [overhauled and strengthened its standards](https://www.bcorporation.net/en-us/news/press/b-lab-publishes-new-b-corp-standards-raising-the-bar-for-businesses-worldwide/), introducing third-party auditing requirements, among other new, more stringent rules that came into effect in January 2026\. “We are confident that the new standards are clear, ambitious, and truly capable of raising the bar for businesses worldwide,” Judy Rodrigues, director of standards of B Lab Global, [said](https://www.bcorporation.net/en-us/news/press/b-lab-publishes-new-b-corp-standards-raising-the-bar-for-businesses-worldwide/) after the rollout.

Still, the revisions weren’t enough to bring Dr. Bronner’s back to the B Corp club. Instead, the company co-founded [The Purpose Pledge](https://static1.squarespace.com/static/677d857b054e951e4f133a37/t/69b040ddaf2e1e4a92f2dbc8/1773158621112/3-10-26+Purpose+Pledge+March+10+Press+Release+-+UPDATED.pdf), a business initiative focused on ethical governance, operations, and supply chains. The pledge is “built on 10 commitments to embed ethics and purpose at every level of a business's operations,” CEO David Bronner says. After a one-year pilot, the effort formally launched in early March with 16 companies signed on, including organic cereal producer Nature’s Path and organic tea company Numi. _—Joe Mullich_

### Land O’Lakes

_Agriculture advocate_
U.S. farms are facing many challenges: Volatile trade policies and foreign conflicts disrupt supply chains, raise costs of inputs like fertilizer, and heighten barriers to selling crops in foreign markets. Immigration crackdowns add labor pressures. Extreme weather reduces yield. Land O’Lakes, a century-old farm cooperative that touches [50% of U.S. harvested acres](https://storcpkenticomedia.blob.core.windows.net/media/lolinc/media/impact/media/2025-lol-annual-report-lr.pdf), is helping on the ground and in policy discussions, pushing for improved market access and [a Farm Bill that reflects current risks](https://time.com/7310865/storm-gathering-american-agriculture/), all with the goal of boosting food security and accessibility. “American farmers operate in constant volatility,” says CEO Beth Ford. “These are not just issues for farmers and the food system. They impact consumers and the entire economy.” The company in 2025 [teamed](https://news.microsoft.com/source/2025/11/12/land-olakes-and-microsoft-partner-to-accelerate-ai-innovation-in-agriculture/) with Microsoft to launch the AI-powered app “Oz” to help farmers optimize operations, and backed [AgRogue Growth Partners](https://www.landolakesinc.com/press/land-o-lakes-local-ag-retailers-participate-in-agrogue/), a coalition of ag retail partners that will invest in ag tech start-ups. The co-op also is reducing food waste, working with [Spoiler Alert](https://www.landolakesinc.com/news-features/land-o-lakes-is-helping-reduce-food-waste/) to redirect more than 10.3 million pounds of surplus dairy products with limited shelf-life to secondary markets and food banks. —_Don Steinberg_

### Who Gives A Crap

_Really good toilet paper_

Worldwide one in four people [don’t have access](https://www.who.int/news/item/26-08-2025-1-in-4-people-globally-still-lack-access-to-safe-drinking-water---who--unicef#:~:text=According%20to%20a%20report%20launched%20by%20WHO,people%20lack%20basic%20hygiene%20services%20at%20home) to clean water. This startling statistic drove the founders of Australia-based Who Gives a Crap to act. What started as an [Indiegogo campaign](https://www.indiegogo.com/en/projects/simongriffiths/who-gives-a-crap-toilet-paper-that-builds-toilets#/section/rewards/reward-product-3350) is now the world’s largest direct-to-consumer toilet paper supplier, revolutionizing the industry by selling eye-catching, eco-friendly products and putting 50% of the proceeds toward improving global water and sanitation. The certified B Corp works directly with nearly a dozen nonprofits to build wells and install waterless toilets, donating over $14 million as of early 2026\. “We believe that we could create a new source of funding for these issues by attaching the growth of our business to their success,” says co-founder Danny Alexander. Giving back and sustainability are built into the brand’s ethos: All rolls are made with 100% bamboo or recycled paper, saving over 2 million trees and offsetting nearly 100,000 metric tons of carbon. Through its online and retail sales, including partnerships with Whole Foods and Erewhon in 2024 and British grocery giant Tesco last year, Who Gives a Crap has expanded its line to include tissues, paper towels, and, most recently, recycled garbage bags. —_Nadia Suleman_

### Costco Wholesale

_A club with commitments_

In a year when corporate America wavered on social commitments, Costco Wholesale stood firm. Just a few days after President Trump signed an executive order dismantling federal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs last year, 98% of Costco’s shareholders [voted down](https://www.axios.com/2025/01/23/costco-dei-shareholders-reject-anti-diversity-proposal) an anti-DEI proposal introduced by a conservative think tank, backing management’s conviction that diverse employees and suppliers drive innovation and long-term growth. The decisive vote landed as Walmart, Target, McDonald’s, and Meta were scaling back their own diversity programs amid mounting political and legal pressure.

But Costco’s commitments extend beyond the culture wars. In [fiscal year 2025,](https://www.costco.com/f/-/communities-giving/) the warehouse club [donated](https://s201.q4cdn.com/287523651/files/doc%5Ffinancials/2025/ar/costco-sustainability-report-2025.pdf) the equivalent of 186 million meals as well as $194 million in cash and products to charities focused on children's health, education, and human services. It also rolled out new supply-chain [commitments](https://www.asyousow.org/press-releases/2025/12/4/as-you-sow-commends-costcos-commitment-to-address-deforestation-risks-in-avocado-supply-chain) targeting deforestation in high-risk commodities. And in March this year it announced a new partnership with health care platform Sesame and reproductive medicine group IVI RMA North America that will give Costco members immediate access to affordable fertility care. The initiative “reflects our commitment to transparent and affordable solutions that reduce barriers, are more accessible, and more affordable for our members," Costco’s senior vice president of pharmacy Richard Stephens [said](https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20260309898627/en/Sesame-IVI-RMA-and-Costco-Transform-Fertility-Care-for-Costco-Members-with-New-Partnership-Offering-Expanded-Access-to-Quality-Care-and-80-Medication-Savings) in announcing the partnership. _—Joe Mullich_

### Bombas

_More than just socks_

Bombas launched 13 years ago with a goal to sell 1 million pairs of its high-quality socks, and give another 1 million pairs to people experiencing homelessness. To say the former _Shark Tank_ company reached its target would be an understatement: As of February, it has surpassed 200 million donated essential clothing items—including socks (the most requested item in homeless shelters), underwear, and shirts. The need persists as [homelessness rates](https://endhomelessness.org/state-of-homelessness/) remain high in the U.S. “With things like some government funding for nonprofit organizations going away, it's getting tougher for them,” says CEO Jason LaRose.

The key to making Bombas’ “one purchased = one donated” model work? High-quality, durable garments that customers are willing to pay good money for. Last fiscal year the company’s revenue reached around $500 million. It inked a wholesale partnership with Target, and opened its first brick-and-mortar stores. “The bigger we get the business, the more we can donate,” LaRose says. —_Jessica Hullinger_

### Sanku

_Fortifying Africa’s food_

More than [half](https://www.unicef.org/esa/nutrition#:~:text=In%202023%2C%20just%20over%202.3,12%2Dyear%2Dold%20sister) of all children across Eastern and Southern Africa do not get enough essential nutrients in their diets. Sanku is working to solve this problem by fortifying staple foods at scale. Its fully automated [dosifier technology](https://time.com/collections/best-inventions-2019/5733123/sanku-dosifier/) allows millers to [infuse](https://sanku.com/why-fortification/) flour with precise amounts of vitamins and minerals including iron, folic acid, and zinc. Sanku more than tripled its footprint in the last year, and now fortifies enough flour to feed 73 million people across Tanzania, Kenya, and Ethiopia. The company recently began manufacturing pre-mixed powdered nutrients in Africa instead of importing them, which helped cut costs significantly. “Three years ago the cost to guarantee one person had fortified flour was about 55 cents,” says CEO Felix Brooks-church. Now the cost is at a record low 9 cents. In 2025, Sanku broke ground on a premix blending factory in Ethiopia that will fortify enough flour to feed 200 million people when it becomes operational later this year. “So it's not just a factory for the country, but it's a factory for the actual region,” Brooks-church says. —_Jessica Hullinger_

### GiveDirectly

_Cash that saves lives_

Give cash directly to people in poverty, no strings attached, and trust them to spend it wisely? For years, many were dubious of the idea behind the charity GiveDirectly. But in late 2025, a landmark working [paper](https://www.nber.org/papers/w34152) from the National Bureau of Economic Research showed that in rural Kenya, households receiving cash transfers from GiveDirectly saw infant mortality fall by 48% and under-five mortality by 45%, declines on par with major public-health interventions. “It’s a result that focuses attention on how poverty and health intersect,” says Nick Allardice, CEO of the New York-based nonprofit, which issues its cash infusions primarily in the U.S. and Africa. “It doesn't matter how good a hospital is if a pregnant mom can't afford transport to get to her doctor's appointment.” A randomized [trial](https://www.givedirectly.org/multiplier) now underway in Malawi—six times larger than the Kenya study—is testing whether direct cash can spark broad economic growth across an entire region. —_Joe Mullich_

### Bookshop.org

_Saving indie bookstores_

Andy Hunter launched Bookshop.org at the beginning of 2020 to help support the community hubs that are America’s independent bookstores. The platform, which lets online bibliophiles buy directly from these institutions instead of Amazon, had “almost no money in the bank and no runway,” Hunter says. But it became a lifeline for many shops when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, and its popularity continues: In an age of [flat publishing sales](https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/industry-news/financial-reporting/article/95055-publishing-industry-sales-were-flat-in-the-first-quarter-of-2023.html), Hunter says independent bookstores are now “completely bucking that trend.” In 2025 Bookshop.org delivered a record [$9.5 million](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/bookshoporg-and-draft2digital-partner-enabling-independent-bookstores-to-profit-from-self-published-ebooks-302678756.html#:~:text=The%20partnership%20brings%20hundreds%20of,in%20the%20US%20and%20UK.) to local bookshops. Its beneficiaries include Black-owned Loyalty Books in Washington, D.C., Oakland’s Walden Pond Books, and scrappy Turning Page, located in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Success has bred success: Bookshop.org debuted an [e-book platform](https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/industry-news/bookselling/article/96906-bookshop-org-debuts-its-e-book-platform.html) a year ago, allowing customers to purchase titles directly from local outlets for the first time, keeping independent sales robust in the digital age. Hunter’s team is also developing its own e-reader to take on Amazon, empowering consumers to shop small. His ambition is sky-high: “Within the next two years we want to be the best place to shop online if you love books.” _—Hamilton Cain_

### Bridge Rail Foundation

_Preventing suicides_

For decades, an average of 30 people a year died by suicide at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, making it one of the country’s most notorious sites for such deaths. That’s no longer the case. In 2024, a stainless-steel net was installed along the bridge’s 1.7-mile span after years of advocacy by the nonprofit Bridge Rail Foundation, creating a physical barrier designed to deter jump attempts. The net is working. Last year, four people leapt to their deaths, and there were no suicides between June and December. “Means restriction works,” says Narges Zohoury Dillon, president of the Bridge Rail Foundation Board. “It shows that the bridge is now less of a destination for people.” Now, the foundation hopes to become a central resource for communities pursuing similar efforts. “We’ll be focusing on moving other projects forward in a more coordinated fashion,” Zohoury Dillon says. “The process took us 20 years, but we think there’s a way to fast-forward it now that there’s a playbook. A systemic approach is really the ultimate win.” _—Angela Haupt_

### KultureCity

_Sensory-inclusive spaces_

Overwhelming sensory stimulation like bright lights and loud sounds can be distressing for people with conditions like autism, PTSD, and dementia. KultureCity is making the world more inclusive for these people. The nonprofit partners with some of the most popular public venues—including [LEGO stores](https://www.lego.com/en-gb/sensory-inclusion), [NBA stadiums](https://www.nba.com/hornets/guests/sensory), and [Carnival Cruise Line](https://www.kulturecity.org/carnival/) ships—to teach staff to identify and help people with sensory needs; provide sensory bags equipped with noise-canceling headphones and fidget toys; and create quiet zones. The company recently [began](https://newsroom.livenation.com/news/live-nation-and-kulturecity-launch-largest-sensory-accessibility-partnership-in-live-entertainment/) working with Live Nation and, as of this year, has made more than 200 of its venues across the U.S. and Australia sensory inclusive and accessible. This year the company [broke ground](https://bhamnow.com/2026/02/11/work-begins-on-new-kulturecity-national-accessibility-park-in-birmingham/) on what will be the world’s first “accessibility park,” a 100,000-square-foot former steam plant in Birmingham, Alabama, that will house a technical college to train people with sensory needs and help place them in jobs with one of KultureCity’s 7,000 global partners. “Helping all these people navigate our world is a truly remarkable thing,” says KultureCity co-founder Dr. Julian Maha. —_Jessica Hullinger_
