The [Galaxy Tab 10.1](http://www.samsungunpacked.com/press/press2%5F1%5Fdetail.html "undefined"), as it’s called, features a 10-inch 1280×800-resolution screen, dual-core processor, and two cameras. The tablet runs Google’s new made-for-tablets operating system, Android 3.0—also known as Honeycomb—and measures 0.4 inches thick, while tipping the scales at 1.3 pounds. That’s a little bit thinner and lighter than the current 9.7-inch iPad, for comparison, which measures 0.5 inches thick and weighs 1.5 pounds. There’s no pricing or availability information for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 yet, and Samsung announced it in partnership with mobile operator Vodafone, which doesn’t provide service here in the U.S. Vodafone owns a chunk of Verizon, though, and Samsung’s 7-inch Galaxy Tab is available on all the major operators here, so we’ll likely see the 10-inch version here sooner or later. Samsung also [announced the Galaxy S II](http://www.samsungunpacked.com/press/press1%5F2%5Fdetail.html "undefined"), calling it the “world’s thinnest smartphone” at just 0.33 inches. The phone runs Android version 2.3 (Gingerbread), features a dual-core processor, two cameras, and a 4.3-inch 800×480 screen with Samsung’s SuperAMOLED technology.
