TIME
U.S. News & World Report last week peered into the future, took an adventurous plunge into the obvious. Items:
¶”The year 1961 will be one of change —change of many kinds at home and abroad.”
¶ “Eisenhower will give way to Kennedy in the White House as the most important change of all. With this change will come a change in direction of U.S. policies.”
¶ “Johnson will be No. 2 man instead of Nixon. Rusk will speak for U.S. in foreign affairs instead of Herter; Dillon will be in charge of finances instead of Anderson. The whole command will change.”
¶ “Worries will be different as well. . . . There will be a change in attitude toward federal spending.” ¶
¶ “Khrushchev, however, will not change.”
