TIME
From Norway, via Britain, one battered copy (dated May 18) of a two-month-old newspaper reached the U. S. last week. It was the first and probably the last issue of a four-page tabloid published by British troops in northern Norway. Name: The Midnight Sun. It consisted mostly of jokes, soldiers’ poems, and the farewell to his troops of Major General Pierse Joseph Mackesy, on his way back to England. The most poignant news item: “Good news! Beer is on the way.”
