Ambassador to the Court of St. James’s, Robert Worth Bingham, stepping off the Bremen last week in Manhattan. “Is it true, Mr. Ambassador, that certain Britishers are now insisting that we join the League of Nations?” “No one dared to criticize our Government to my knowledge,” flashed the Ambassador. “I am very glad no one attempted to do so in my presence! I have a very decided opinion on that subject and think that we should do what we please for our own interests—just as they do for theirs!”
