On a run from Louisville, Ky. where it had been exhibited, the Royal Scot, crack London-to-Edinburgh train which was brought to the U. S. for A Century of Progress, struck and killed one Charles Lee Mitchell, 22, while passing through Reed, Ky. Engineer William Gilbertson did not know he had killed a man, continued his run to St. Louis.
