Hundreds of thousands of dollars, 200 interviews and one 171-page report later, the Senate failed to uncover the sources who leaked Professor Anita Hill’s sexual-harassment charges against Judge Clarence Thomas to the press. During the probe, investigators had tried to get journalists to name names, but the reporters refused to cooperate. “The evidence indicates there were multiple sources,” said Special Counsel Peter Fleming last week.
