Haymarket hotel is the latest hip entry into the London hospitality game, opening its doors in April on Haymarket, next to the Haymarket Theatre Royal and behind the National Gallery.
This property comes courtesy of Firmdale Hotels, the boutique chain that was founded in 1985 by husband-and-wife team Tim and Kit Kemp (other London properties in the group include the Soho Hotel and the Charlotte Street, favorites of celebs like Giorgio Armani, Glenn Close and Jennifer Lopez). The Haymarket, which was designed in the 19th century by architect John Nash, will have 55 rooms and suites, all individually decorated by Kit Kemp in a fresh, modern yet traditional English style. The lobby will feature artwork by Tony Cragg and John Virtue. The Brumus Bar and Restaurant will serve northern Italian cuisine, and other hotel features include a library, gym, beauty-treatment room and 60-ft. pool.
