Amy Purdy’s literally got dancing feet.
The 34-year-old Paralympian — who became a double amputee at 19 years old — has had to improvise when it comes to what prosthetics she wears on Dancing With The Stars.
Purdy usually wears prosthetics designed for swimming. When speaking about her dancing prosthetics, Purdy said “I originally got these just thinking they were a little bit prettier and I could wear a taller heel and maybe [go] for a tango. It freed my hips up so that I could move how I wanted to.”
