Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “[can no longer be allowed to exist](https://www.channelnewsasia.com/world/israel-iran-khamenei-no-longer-exist-missile-strikes-netanyahu-us-trump-5192491),” Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Thursday, just days after U.S. President Donald Trump publicly announced that the U.S. knows Khamenei’s location but is holding off on killing him “[for now](https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114699610769479275).” Another isn’t so much, depending on who you ask. “I’ve never heard that before,” former Fox News host [Tucker Carlson](https://time.com/7295566/trump-tucker-carlson-feud-israel-iran-conflict/) responded quizzically after Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) [asserted](https://youtu.be/smemFVe0l5E?t=4793&feature=shared) that Iran has tried—and is trying—to kill Trump. “We should attack Iran immediately if that’s true,” Carlson, one of the flagbearers of the anti-war wing within the [factious MAGA right](https://time.com/7295241/trump-iran-israel-tucker-carlson/), facetiously continued.
