To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang, the auto giant planned a photo opportunity that would appear to stretch the limits of possibility — placing the 2015 edition of the iconic vehicle on the 86th floor observation deck of the Empire State Building in New York City for a celebratory photoshoot, in a repeat of their 1965 stunt. Engineers painstakingly assembled and reassembled the yellow muscle car, piece by piece, for the photo opportunity of the (half) century.
