The maps and charts below show the extent of the spread, and will be updated daily with data gathered from dozens of sources by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering. **Where COVID-19 is spreading in the U.S.** Since March, the U.S. has had more confirmed cases of COVID-19 than any other country. As of July 13, the U.S. has reported 89.1 million cases and 1,023,600 deaths. **The states where deaths are highest** The U.S. death toll from COVID-19 rises and falls with cases, lagging about two weeks behind. **Where COVID-19 is currently spreading around the world** The pandemic has long since spread to every nation on Earth. Deaths from COVID-19 have struck different nations asymmetrically. **How does the U.S. compare to other countries?** As of July 14, there have been 559.4 million global cases and 6.36 million deaths.
