MSNBC identified Mather as a “Royal Watcher” for _Vanity Fair,_ though the magazine’s publisher told [_Buzzfeed News_](https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/ellievhall/msnbc-meghan-markle-trailer-trash-victoria-mather) that Mather had not worked there since 2018\.
