Alfonso Cuarón took home the Oscar for Best Director for his work on _Roma_, which scored 10 nominations in all. The Netflix film won in two other categories, including Best Cinematography and Foreign Language Film. Other big winners include _Black Panther_, which set new records by bringing Marvel Studios its first three Academy Awards (Costume Design, Production Design and Original Score). Costume designer Ruth E. Carter and production designer Hannah Beachler becamethe first black people to win in those categories and two of three total black women to win Academy Awards in non-acting categories.
