Prince William and [Prince Harry](http://time.com/5044751/prince-harry-ginger-meghan-markle-video/) stepped away from Kensington Palace and onto the red carpet at the [_Star Wars: The Last Jedi_](http://time.com/5018368/star-wars-the-last-jedi/) premiere at the Royal Albert Hall in London, [according to People](http://people.com/royals/secret-stormtroopers-unmasked-william-and-harry-join-their-star-wars-costars-at-london-premiere/).

While on the [_Star Wars_](http://time.com/5027043/new-last-jedi-characters-help-the-star-wars-galaxy-look-more-like-our-own/) red carpet, the princes conversed with stars of the film — both human and droid alike. The brothers spoke with Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and Daisy Ridley (Rey), and they even received a royal greeting from [BB-8](http://time.com/5047683/star-wars-the-last-jedi-laura-dern-bb-8-playing-video/) as Storm Troopers flanked the sides of the carpet. Prince Harry was even [gifted a Storm Trooper helmet](https://twitter.com/wyliecatherine/status/940668496060575744) of his own.

The brothers’ presence at the premiere was meaningful for more than just one reason. They, too, traveled to a galaxy far, far away. In August, [John Boyega](http://time.com/5043130/star-wars-john-bodega-dance-moves-daisy-ridley/) [confirmed rumors](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/princes-harry-william-play-stormtroopers-new-star-wars-film-1058161) that the two brothers made cameos in _Star Wars_ as Storm Troopers. They visited the set in April 2016 to “recognise the wealth of British creative talent involved in the production of Star Wars films,” [Kensington Palace wrote](https://twitter.com/KensingtonRoyal/status/940650171188350977) in a tweet. The royals’ charity made a showing at the premiere as well. There were 400 guests invited who had ties to the [Royal Foundation,](http://www.royalfoundation.com/) which was established by Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry in 2011\.
